A citation is recorded each time an AI platform includes a reference to your website in its response. The Citations page lets you browse, filter, and analyze these records.

Citations chart

At the top of the page, a stacked area chart shows citation volume over time, broken down by AI platform. Use this to spot trends - for example, a spike after publishing new content or a drop that needs investigation.

Citations table

Below the chart you will find a paginated table of every citation. Each row includes:
  • The AI platform that produced the citation (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, etc.)
  • The date it was recorded
  • The search query that triggered it
  • Which competitors were cited in the same response
Click any row to open a detail view with full context.

Citation detail

The detail view shows:
  • The complete citation context
  • Platform information
  • Competitors cited alongside your site
  • A link to view the original AI conversation (when available)

Filtering

Use the shared toolbar filters to narrow citations by time range, platform, and localization. You can also filter by a specific prompt from the Prompts page.
